Soundwave said: With respect, you guys are cherry picking what I'm saying and taking it out of context. This was the line that apparently got some people upset: Sounds like they are down year over year though, whereas MS is up year over year for December. That means they closed the gap. I'm speaking about the gap they had between them last December, MS is trending up, Sony is trending down. The context I was talking about is rather clear there by the preceeding sentence. I never once said MS had closed the gap in overall LTD sales, but the fact that they are far more competetive. "Gap" is apparently a loaded term. Go figure. To me personally MS' sales are more impressive because they just have one vanilla model, and the One S boost should have faded a bit since it's been available for months whereas PS4 Slim is the new thing for the holiday on top of the really new PS4 Pro. |
I'm confused by what you're saying. If they are up yoy, that is only speaking of their own sales for the year. They could be selling them at a loss. They may have sold more, and taking a huge hit to profits in the process. Why would Sony being down yoy even be the good news for Xbox in your thinking? Even if Sony was down on the year, they probably still came out ahead, financially in this year.
(I'm still confused after thinking it over. The company is racing against itself yoy. Bring in another company racing but disregard their yoy? or let them keep that yoy but, dang... I'm lost here. If you wanted to say you're proud of Xbox, why not just say that?)
