Insurance only works when people that aren't "using" it are paying for it. If you only purchased car insurance after you got into an accident, tell me how that would work? It wouldn't.

I really don' think people understand what insurance means. The whoel idea of insurance covering pre-existing conditions is rediculous.

True, but that's where the penalties come in. Its about $700 for 2016 while growing significantly every year after. That's another reason I'm glad Obamacare is dying.

Eitherway it sounds like the pre existing thing is staying. I kinda like that but its also not insurance anymore.

If you do at all, you would know how big of a joke $700 is. I pay like $125 a month in insurance (not bad, was worse at last job), but that is through work, meaning my work covers like 3/4 of the cost or so. If I were not through work, it woudl be more expensive.

Regardless, $700 is the cheapest option. Paying a fine each year woudl be the cheapest route.

And, from what I've heard they can't even check if you have had insurance or not. All youd o when filling out taxes is check a box if you have insurance all year or not. At least that is all I did last year. I didn't need a sheet for proof, didn't send anything to prove i had it, ect. So tell me, how do they fine those that don't have it. They coudl just lie on their taxes and say they do have insurance.
