The issue is with Obamacare is that it wont work in the long term as it has mostly older and sick people signing up while young people fail to enrol in the plan as they rather pay the penalty and think rather naively they won't get sick.

As a result, insurance companies move out of Obamacare and in the end it will likely require greater government subsidies and cost to keep premiums low.

Its not that they're being naive, statistically most won't get seriously ill, need medical attention, etc. Well atleast not anytime soon.

Obamacare needs healthy people that won't get sick, they have to pay for the sick.

I'm not entirely against socializing healthcare, I just don't like paying more so deadbeats get it free. I also don't like people struggling to get by having to pay a lot while someone making slightly less is getting it for free. These seem to be the primary reasons its broken.

But who cares if they do get sick. Obamacare made it so that insurance companies can't deny one with a pre-existing condition.

So if I randmly find out I have cancer, then I go and get insurance. I start paying a couple hundred a month for insurance and teh insurance company pays a couple thousand a month for my medicine.

That is why costs are skyrocketing.

Insurance only works when people that aren't "using" it are paying for it. If you only purchased car insurance after you got into an accident, tell me how that would work? It wouldn't.

I really don' think people understand what insurance means. The whoel idea of insurance covering pre-existing conditions is rediculous.
