I feel almost the same with nier automata. I never played the original nier because of the mostly negative reviews and the gameplay videos seems boring. then they announced automata. I only thought why they would do that after the first one. 0 interest, later gameplay videos seemed rather blend too (well mostly the environment). until 2 weeks ago when I noticed it's platinum games game.. now I need it.
