Reminds of the a relative of mine who attended the pro-coup protests in Brazil last year.
Six moths after the coup, the Institute of Technology where his son studies will de-funded for the next 20 years, his right to retire will be delayed for years, his wife lost her job, etc.
Overall his life is getting much worse, most of it as a consequence of the so called "reforms" by the plutocracy that seized the power.
Political education is an issue all over the world, people my relative or this guy on Facebook usually aren't able to predict the consequences of their votes or their political acts.
