And Microsoft doesn't need Xbox anymore. It has served its purpose and then failed to establish itself as market leader, so the strategy changes. For Microsoft there's no point in winning in the video games market for the sake of video games.

You're probably right. I guess Xbox was always a Trojan horse to take over the living room/deny it to Sony. It was a means to an end.
