If the game was crap and wasn't going to review well, It would of done nothing to boost the X1 lineup. THe game wasn't going to be good better to cancel it then to release a broken or bad game that everyone will complain about and tranish Microsoft studios reputation.

My most anticipadeted game is still State of Decay 2, studios like undead labs that's were Microsfot need to spend more money.

I was talking about the idea of the game being what MS needed, a Japanese RPG from a popular, talented studio. I mean, that's all we can talk about before a game is released, it's potential. I also didn't say it shouldn't of been cancelled. You can cancel a game if it is beyond saving, but it still shows mismanagement, from MS, Platinum or both

As for tarnishing Microsoft Studios reputation, I don't think they have much of a reputation to ruin at this point.

Platinum game have always been up and down with the offering... Scalebound wasn't going to be a masterpiece like Bayonetta series.

Scalebound was supposed to be this generation Blue dragon or Lost odyssey, but it wasn't meant to be.

I think the lost of Scalebound can be easily replace by funding a indie developers and giving them funding to polish their game.

If you look at the following link Microsoft Studios has done pretty well for itself. Forza, Gears and Halo series are the reason to own Microsoft consoles.
