Because you said "the misinformation on this post is mindblowing, first the tegra is the best mobile chip out there," A iPhone 7 is actually 220 $ to manufacture (http://fortune.com/2017/01/09/apple-airpods-app/) The Apple A9X Chip (that outperforms the Tegra x1 in every benchmark with significant less enegery consumption) is ~40$ to make (http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/12/02/how-much-does-the-apple-a9x-cost-to-make.aspx) Others then iPhones, consoles are often sold at almost non profit at launch: (https://www.engadget.com/2013/11/19/ps4-costs-381-to-make-according-to-hardware-teardown/) So iPad Pro level of performance is easily achievable at reasonable costs for a console. Please educate yourself before claiming "the misinformation on this post is mindblowing".

The misinformation was about the tegra and nvidia being bad tech when they are one of the best developing mobile chips and about "the first and only time being important to the mainstream market" when they already did that with the ps3 and their chips are better than AMD, so I don't even know what the fuck your point is. Yeah there are better chips than the tegra, until the next tegra and then we will have better chips than the next tegra, that's how tech works buddy.

The next tegra isnt out yet and according to rumours wont be used in the switch. Keep in mind the X1 in the switch will also be significantly downclocked (according to eurogamer). A Ps4 comapreable graphics cars achieves ~500 FPS in the trex 1080p offscreen benchmark. The Shield console with full clockspeed switch achieved 120. So in comparison the tegra chip is weak. It also consumer up to 35 wattage which is ridiculous for the performance. Apples A10Fusion chip achieves similar performance (107 fps int trex 1080p) at ~7 Wattage. The Tegra chips really arnt impressive and Nvidia never was a leader in the mobile ARM SOC market. Something like the new 10nm Snapdragon is way more promising then the next 40 wattage tegra chip. Your right about nvidia beeing used in other consoles though.
