They're not doing "evil things" they are part of a gray area where they are developing a very "bad" way to control information. Yeah, thats why they just kill people left and right for interacting with the girl. Not evil at all...

What I mean is that they have a purpose and they don't act like "muahaha we are the evil corporation for no reason, just to control the world"
