Does death as a concept mean nothing to you, as well as the sadness that comes from death itself?. You have to point out the actual good, because what is good for someone, isn't always for someone else, but death is an absolute. if I were to list all the deaths (because you know full well what an insane task that is, to go and sum up more data than what you presented).
I feel like you feel threatened by bad news from this small talk. You have a different view from mine, this is without a doubt. But trying to claim that every year is objectively a good year each time is just plain illogical and silly. Mirror arguments in this case serve no purpose (because I know most people respond to the last part and use it against the the other person speaking said line).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
