When was it not advertised as exclusive?

Not one main Persona game released on anything else than a Playstation system, it's just ridiculous to think that this one will magically release on another machine, even when nothing ever hinted this. The Atlus PR guy already said months ago "NO PC RELEASE". People can be so stubborn... "Oh, the reveal trailer of The Last Of Us 2 said "for the PS4", but not "only on PS4", so it must be coming to Switch!"

The first game was on PC too.

Oh, you're right actually, I completely forgot about that. But only in Japan, a PC port in 1999. So "not one main Persona game released [...] in the last 18 years" ^^.

Wasn't this one considered canon?

Nope, I don't think so (and I sure hope not). And "canon" is different from "main game". Persona Q is a spin off using Etrian Odyssey gameplay. Etrian Odyssey is a 3DS game, so Persona Q is a 3DS game. But even the story is a complete spin off, it's kinda an alternative storyline that fits nowhere in the official Persona timeline. It's "Let's bring 2 different casts with time travel in a different dimension so we can do anything we want with them without any impact on the main games story". Even the Persona 4 Arena story is more canon than this one ^^. Well, in fact, the Persona 4 Arena story is canon I think.

(And honestly, Persona Q is just... not good for a Persona story, it's just fan service for the sake of fan service)
