While I'm not a big fan of the asymmetric sticks, this one goes to the Xbox One S Controller for sure. That thing is just flawless with the build quality surpassing that of the DualShock 4 by far and also better ergonomics in general, at least for me. The Controller also killed everything I didn't like about the older controllers. It now has bluetooth on board, no more silly dongle on my laptop, nice! And finally a good digipad so playing Street Fighter ain't a problem. But the biggest advantage is the battery. I charge up my Xbox One S Controller every 4 weeks or so, that thing just keeps on going, it lasts forever. DS4? Not so much, I have to charge that friggin' thing every 2 days, it's a real pain in the ass.

The Dual Shock 4 is fine, but in my opinion a step back from the glorious DS3. The Wii U Gamepad is too big for my taste and the Pro Controller has a weird layout. So all in all:

1. Xbox One S
2. Dual Shock 4
3. Wii U Pro Controller
4. Wii U GamePad

Just curious about that part where you charge up your One S controller...are you using some kind of battery that came with the device, or did you buy one of those play and charge kits? If it's one of the kits, which one are you using? I'm trying to find one with good battery size (maybe more than 1250mAh) so I don't have to keep charging up everyday.

OT: I agree with most about the DS4 being a huge leap from the DS3, so much so that it's a strain on my hands to work on my PS3 back catalogue. But apart from the LB/RB on the xbox one controller, it's a much more comfortable device for me, and it reminds me of my old Dreamcast controller (which was my all-time favourite). I also bought a Wii U fightpad and actually find it really great to play Mario Kart 8 and like the button layout, just not as much as the others.
