Destiny is an MMO though (to a degree), so in order to keep people playing, they need to release updates to keep them buying and playing. FFXV isn't and in turn doesn't need to try and keep people playing. While the idea might be good for some, the development time needed might be better spent actually making a XV-2... or just spent making a new game in the series that will sell millions guaranteed (instead of a few hundred thousand sales of DLC).
