I'm not saying you don't see it as a great product, what I'm saying is, if you're saying "well the low amount of content compared to previous games is acceptable because it's better than other games currently on the market" it's still basically the same argument as "well it might be lackluster, but at least it's not as shitty as everything else on the market". Does that mean you think the game is shitty? No, but it means you're basically using the same kind of argument conceptually.

I don't even remember why we started talking. It's not like i'm going to hunt down everyone who enjoys the game. There's definitely some great things about the game and some enjoyable parts. I just don't think there's SOOOO much content. Honestly if I played more games this generation maybe I would appreciate it more, or maybe i'd appreciate it less. But I don't feel like the content provided is worth appreciating, especially since there was no real point for a microtransaction system.

I may be wrong, but I heard the microtransaction is a way to make future gears of war maps free. I'm all for it if it's true. I hate paying for new maps and hate how it breaks up the community.

Ya it IS , but every time they introduce new maps they take the same amount of maps out of the rotation(or at least they have thus far). So you're getting the same amount of maps in the game as you had day one, it's just a few of them are different. With no quality assurance that all these maps are better than the original maps in the original rotations(and because maps are compeltely subjective) it basically means we're just getting the same amount of content with no assurance the updated content is any better or worse. The only way you can experience all of the maps is in private match, and you have to pay for the 40$ season pass for that.

I believe they took out two maps and put in 4 but out of those 4 two are just remasters. I don't really think free DLC should be basterdized to "the only way you get more content with the game with these free updates is when including the remasters in the map rotation(which were probably already made before launch). Oh ya, and by the way buy our microtransactions".  I think currently Gears 4 shouldn't even have an actual season pass, it adds  no value to it. But unless they keep this action of taking out original maps and putting it the new maps, we might potentially still get more content per free update down the line. Like right now technically we do have two extra maps, but they're just remasters and they were probably already done.
