Nintendo's a game maker, not a magician. XD There was only so much this thing was gonna be capable of due to its portable nature. Anyway, something to keep in mind here: this guy is a pro, and has a way better idea of what he is talking about than then the rest of us, but is not speaking with any first hand knowledge of what the Switch can do. He is speculating based on the Eurogamer report. So this isn't exactly new information, but a guy speculating based on a spec sheet.
Let's not forget, the system was reportedly running a direct port of Dark Souls 3, which is no slouch in the visuals department, and Ubisoft is supposedly set on bringing the next Assassins Creed to it. If we are gonna believe rumors from reliable places like Eurogamer and Laura Daley, we can't exactly pick and choose what we believe. So at the very least, there appear to be caveats this guy probably isn't aware of when it comes to porting next gen games to the Switch. I am sure there are limitations to what can be ported, but we won't know what they are until at least the 12th.
