mobile data could be an add-on anyway and plug in via usb for those who want it. Just because its not built in doesn't mean it can't be added. I certainly don't need it though I only use prepay mobile without a monthly contract and if I'm in a restaurant, in a shopping centre or on a train there is free wifi available.
