Last recorded time so many celeb deaths occured was 1982...

By your logic in your OP and against GNM, every year is objectively always a good year, unless we have a world war, which I'm going to assume will be like a speck on the mirror versus all the good things. Basically humanity has always had it good.

I'd like to add to the celeb deaths, like all the people that have died this year, popular and not so popular, innocent and non innocent. companies going bust, companies getting away with acts they shouldn't etc. If you want to say that the goods always outweigh the cons, then you'll have to put that towards everyone, but even then the whole world wouldn't agree with you single handedly anyway, because we all view the glass differently.

Do you know these celebs personally? Yes, we all have a handful fo favorite artists who have molded our lives, but outside of those you act as though celebrity deaths have the same impact as losing a friend or family member. It doesn't even come close (and if it does I question the bonds, even the weak ones, you have with your close ones).

The most that ever died this year? There is no measurment for how to define a celebrity. Are you going by paycheck? TV interview qunatity, Golden Globe/Nomination counts? And what about the celebs who don't bathe in the limelight?

Yeah, we all view the glass differently. The underlying point is that having a pessemistic view that is based on an opaque love of celebrities we don't even know may not be a great one. And was their contribution equal to that of other unknown influencers in this world? And, as I said, when was their last contribution? People act like David Bowie was such a great contributor when most people didn't give a shit about the last handful of albums he released until after he died...and even then...
