Ahhhh, I see.
It's something that used to bug me, but not something I really think about anymore since the difference is more about feel than anything else. That being said, I feel the same way. Persona 5 seems to have a camera like that, which means that the new game may as well. At least if it uses the same engine like everyone expects it to.
I don't like how the overworld is set up in P5, though. If it's between SMT4s overworld and a clunkier camera or P5s camera but a restricted overworld, I'll chose the former.
