Just a new form of cold-warfare. There won't be real warfare over this, just things escalating along the cyber war-front. Business as usual, basically.
Things could get very ugly, however. I'm betting government sponsored cyber-terrorism is going to ramp up in the coming years and will probably attack the private sector, as well, in an attempt to undermine economic confidence.
