To illistrate my point:

The PS4 has averaged 35 games a month since it's release compared to 31 games for the PS2 and 26 games for the PS3.

 

Game development is fine, and more importantly has become far more democratized.

This, please listen to this guys...... The PS4 is getting a crap ton of games. I can pretty much promise I spend more time gaming than most of you guys and I can not even keep up with all of the great games being released..... (My backlog is huge)

 

It does not matter if a game is AAA, AA, or Indie we are getting more (good) games now than we did on the PS2 over its lifespan (imo anyway)
