Maybe there's a possibility to toggle the menu or even crazier, maybe you can choose between an ARPG style like Dragon Quest X or a traditional battle system. You're right though, they look distinctly different from each other. 

Please don't be like DQX! That would almost make me get the 3DS version. And what if the Switch is the PS4 version but with the 3DS combat. Omg I'd get that.
