Why couldn't she play with you and her other friend? I don't know the nature of your friendship so I can't say whether you are wrong to feel "2nd placed", that you are being needy, etc.
It's crappy of her to say I want to go play with someone else but your on so I can't. I've had something similar happen to me outside of gaming so it's like 'wtf why are you even here with me then?' type of thing. In general, people shouldn't make others feel like they aren't wanted at the moment which she did to you. Then again, it could have been something she didn't know how to tell you so it went wrong (she just wanted a break).
Hopefully you guy can make amends. If she can't see her error then it's up to you to be the bigger person and let it go I suppose. You don't have to do anything.
