jesus, I'm just wondering how you can afford it all.

I spend less money than the average gamer and yet I get more games because I know how to be a smart and patient shopper.

I dont buy games day 1 regardless of whether its on console, portable or PC.

I wait for bundles and sale times like summer and holidays for PC games and I check IsThereAnyDeal.com. I also check IndieGamebundles.com to find out info on the latest bundles and free PC games.

I check CheapAssGamer for console and portable deals.

I spent about $500 for the entire year of 2016 - the price of 6-7 full priced AAA games due to these practices which is way less than what I use to spend $500+ - back then before 2012 I would spend as much or more for like 8-10 games. In 2016, I spent the same amount $500 for about 300 games.

The most I've spent on a single console game: Final Fantasy XV (PS4) for $40

The least I've spent on a single console game: Resident Evil HD Chronicles (PS3): $5.69

The most I've spent on a single portable game: Bravely Second (3DS): $20

The least I've spent on a single portable game: Pokemon Sun (3DS): $0 (thanks to gift card of $40 + the game got discounted to $32 pre-order on Amazon)

The most I've spent on a single PC game: Final Fantasy IX (PC): $16.89

The least I've spent on a single PC game: Castle of Illusion (PC): $2.24

The most I've spent on a bundled PC game package: Humble Bundle Star Wars Bundle 2 (Star Wars Rebellion, Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, Star Wars: X-Wing vs TIE Fighter - Balance of Power Campaigns, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, Star Wars: X-Wing Special Edition, Star Wars: TIE Fighter Special Edition, LEGO Star Wars - The Complete Saga) - $10

The least I've spent on a bundled PC game package: Humble SEGA Strategy Bundle (Company of Heroes Complete Edition, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Master Collection, Medieval II: Total War Collection, Rome: Total War - Collection, SEGA Genesis/Megadrive Strategy Pack (Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Gain Ground, Columns) - $1

unfortunately Nintendo makes it hard to do cheap shopping :( Thank god pre-owned games exist. Manage to steal 3DS games at around $14 average.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.
