kitch: Hyperbole, dude. Hyperbole. Sega has made plenty of great games, far more than you listed, they still have massive problems on the marketing side and unbelievably larger problems in management. They've got no business in the console market and never really did.

People talking about Apple getting into gaming: Don't fool yourselves into thinking they would make a handheld gaming device, they already (essentially) have two of them. Their AppleTV line, however, could use a bit of bolstering and is actually a more natural fit for gaming if they wanted to take a slice of the hardcore market in addition to the casual gamers. Really, what makes you people think they'd want to undermine sales of their existing iPod and IPhone devices (for those that assume they'd go that direction)?
