Well you missed that he missed the words "i think". Based on the fact that they waited so long to bundle CoD IW in the US while BF1 was bundled a lot. Personally i disagree with him but since he wrote "i think" it still doesn't look like he was making an absolute claim but just a prediction on the future of Sony and Activision. Well its not that hard to understand using the "100k" rumor PS4 won last month and it had months of preorders for the Pro. This month the Pro is a low lower in the monthly and the XB1 Minecraft bundle is a lot higher, also there is no Pro preorders so people like him and me believe the XB1 could take December. Its a We could be right or we could be wrong its not rocket science. |
The problem with the last paragraph is that it doesn't put everything into consideration. Yes, there aren't Pro preorders for the PS4 to benefit from. However, this is the first month since August that Microsoft has not released a new SKU. At the beginning of November, Microsoft released a Gears 4 blue XBO bundle at entry price which was further discounted to $249 on BF. The blue XBO looked really good and you could get that at a great price, so it definitely had a hand in sales especially during a month that is dictated by price. Final Fantasy XV favors the PS4 more than XBO due to multiple factors: larger JRPG fanbase, inherent bigger word of mouth, and bigger enthusiasm for singleplayer-based games among the PS userbase. The XBO seemed to have the better deals from Dec. 11-24, but the PS4 deals also last for a longer duration. The COD bundle was announced late, but it appeals to a different demographic from Uncharted 4.
It's irritating when people (on both sides, by the way) make conclusive statements or predictions without considering all variables.
