I think this is a huge misconception. More likely than not the vast majority of millenials pay absolutely no attention to the "safe space" debate at all. They're too busy going to school, working, and starting families to worry about this kind of shit. Which is largely just an internet debate. Not to mention that a large chunk of millenials have grown up fighting the longest war in American history.
This is just another case of a generation being told they're undiciplined babies by the generation before them, just like has happenend with every other generation.
