The claims they had also fall off after a while. In all the history that matters (I'd say, 100 years or so, to kill off 1 generation completely), the land was owned by Palestinians. 

Putting Religion in an argument between two folks with different interpretations on religion is basis for catastrophe. You can never use religion to justify actions upon others - this is, as said, the rhetoric of a jihadist (even if slightly more civilised): it's okay to ignore logical morality because my god said I should do this.
