Well if we're going ot be that ruthless about it, then it absolutely makes sense to sell the 360 instead, as my store makes more money per 360 (about 5 dollars!) than it does per PS3 (less than a dollar).
But in reality, the difference for the store is minimal and it actually is in the best interest of the store to simply make the consumer as happy as possible so they will continue shopping in our store. If the consumer really does seem conflicted, I point out the strengths of each system to the best of my ability. Forcing them to buy my console of choice would often seem abrasive and could lead to unhappy customers when they get home.
