Not really, usually those indies also release on PC as well, often earlier.

Some people may get defensive but it is what it is, there's no harm in pointing out the majority of the high ranking games are indies. It doesn't add nor take away their quality. The barrier of developing PC games is really low, the lower the barrier the more games it gets, thus relatively more games with high scores. Same with mobiles btw.

Except that making a good game has actually a very high skill cap. None of the good rated games take advantage of that lower barrier because they don't need it.
