PC communities are just as lively if not more. Userbase on Steam is bigger than on PS4, Counter-Strike is by far the most played FPS of all and that's just Steam. I didn't find any stats right now, but I also can't complain about the activity at Battlefield 4 and 1. I always find games instantly im every game mode.
It's really ok to prefer whatever platform you like. It's not ok to pull arguments out your ass though. Free online is, was and always will be a pretty big plus. It also doesn't stop with the normal use. On PC you can also set up your very own server. So if some dev decides they kill some Online Game you really like, you can still play it with some friends, no problem. |
battlefield online activity is pretty bad, now how about gears of war 4, or titanfall and many others with long match making times. Am I suppose to be impressed with 2 games going over 100k players? what am I pulling out of my ass now? Now you want to boast about how big steam userbase is.. I don't see anything to boast about when the majority of them only care about playing counter-strike and Dota 2.
Look, I got no probs with free online, all I said was I don't find it to be a good selling point anymore. but the fact of the matter remains, if you want fast match making at any given time, you'll find it on consoles whether it is free or not. Why is this truth so hard to understand?
