I think it was one sided. Wikileaks and the FBI had no problems with the email scandal, but when the CIA said they found some dirt about Russia and Trump, everyone loses their minds and told the CIA to keep quiet about it until the voting was over.
This goes to show that you can do everything right, and still lose, that's how life is.
