Xbox Live (on Xbox One) Requiring Payment Info?

NOPE. Microsoft just gives me a big, "FUCK YOU" and forces me to either use credit card or paypal. If I'm not even willing to put my address/real name online, what makes them think I'd even use my credit card? 

It is not a free game per se, it ain't freeware.

It is a temporary offer (100% price reduction) for XBL users and of course Microsoft has the right to bind some conditions to that offer.

You are free to decide to accept or deny that offer under these conditions, nobody is forcing you to do anything.

So essentially they're doing it for safety reasons? 

I always thought that it would be considered 'free'. Never thought of it as a price reduction.
