You dont need to be a console engineer to know if your idea is gonna be a bad one or a good one. The fact that you couldnt even buy replacements for the WiiU Gamepad was proof enough that the idea was a doomed one.
Hopefully Nintendo will have extras sold separately but I wouldnt be surprised if they dont. |
Gamers should know how difficult is to create a concept or to bring a new concept for a mass market, sometimes it works(wii, ds), sometimes don't(wii u, virtual boy). But all they do is complain when a company tries to do something out of the box. Let's call different functions a "gimmick" and let's not try new things, every console should be a ps4... great idea! Nope. Even if the ps4 is selling a lot I appreciate that Nintento is trying to make something different and not a clone because as a consumer I have more options.
And btw I don't see any unnecesary "gimmick" on the switch, the concept is very clear, hybrid console that you can play on the go and in your home, easy to understand if you don't feel the need to complain for whatever reason, different controllers but all of them work the same way, joycon or pro controllers, the same functions. I Have a ps4 and a pc, now why in the world would I want to buy a console that does the same shit??? options is really good for the industry.
