I do security in a nuclear power plant for a living. Usually it's just me and my rifle inside of a bullet resistant enclosure, posting on VGChartz and watching YouTube. Every so often, I'm searching personnel or vehicles and it's about the same as boarding a flight. We've got all kinds of detection equipment and if we're suspicious, WE CAN AND WILL SEARCH YOUR GENITALS. You can refuse but you'll be banned from entering any nuclear facility in the country.
