As title says, I'm currently looking for a new TV to replace my older Bravia model in anticipation of release of the Switch. Of course I want to pay for good quality/price ratio, no 4K for now.  I'd like to have opinions on which TV model I should buy, including pricing, maybe size? Which size would work best for my needs (mostly streaming and gaming).

Thanks!

I have a non-4K TV.  It's the SONY KDL55W800C.  It a 55" 3D LED HDTV which I paid only $700 for this baby back in Nov. of 2015.  When tweaked, it has a VERY pretty picture.  Great contrast, clear detail.  For the money, I couldn't do any better.  So yes, I don't see a huge need for a 4K TV so save you the money.  If you were going with a 4K, I'd opt for the Sony XBR55X850D 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV.  I've seen this going for as low as $900.  If I had waited a year, I would have gotten this instead.  Seeing the quality of my current set, I wondered how much better the picture would look with HDR enabled.  My take.  Good luck.

Thanks Living!
