I want to know if it's free to just buy it, or if I have to actually download it this month to it to be free, not just the act of buying it.
Because I don't have any xbox, so if I can somehow manage to just buy it, I can download it sometime in the future when/if I buy one, but if I have to actually download it now, yeah, can't do it.

If you are THAT paranoid about it. Give me your account info to and I'll log you into my 360 to download it. You'll just have to reclaim the license later on for offline play.
