Microsofts financial were not much better. An $89 million profit and they sold alot more games than Sony. I don't think they are raking in large profits on the hardware either.

You are probably correct that the 360 is still losing on the hardware, but to say that Sony has the PS2 which is massively profitable for both HW and SW, the PSP which is profitable on both if not hugely so, and the PS3 games which are likely profitable to some extent, and they still make a loss... that suggests to me they lose a hell of a lot more on PS3 hardware than 360 does.
