But the loyal fanbase! It broke their heart that ea went in bed with ms last gen, how do they even dare to side with the console that dominated the western market last gen. Only bad companies do so and Sony of course is aware of that, they know everything.

Most EA games sold more on Playstation last gen so they definitely didn't dominate.  Not only were they in bed last gen,  but they double down into a king size bed this gen.  Shooting themselves in both feet instead of one.

They screwed themselves and their fans on Playstation.  EA access not being allowed on Playstation is retribution.  They might learn their lesson now.  Good guy Sony always wins.  Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I don't know what is more troubling, the idea that Sony would screw over their own customers as "retribution" towards a publisher for supposed slights in a previous generation, or the fact that you're like.. openly celebrating that possibility. LOL. Please tell us you are just yanking our chains.

As for EA Access and the OPs question, I think what simply happened is Sony lessened their PS+ offerings mightily when they made it a requirement for online play, and they know some people aren't going to play online and have no reason to keep a PS+ subscription. So in that regard, EA Access is a hell of a deal. So they simply said no thanks. I don't buy into this BS that they are giving EA some revenge for last gen. EA made deals with both companies last gen, same as this gen.
