Ummm..... Interesting experience, I guess. I was expecting to hear something about the clerk telling the person not to get it...

That happens a lot according to people and I would be really pissed if that happened with me or around me. If I heard a clerk trying to convince someone to get a 360 instead of a PS3 I would literally do everything in my argumentative power to point out how good a deal the PS3 is and I'm sure I would out argue the average EB clerk lol

It's probobly never wise to try to get people to buy a console. The reason he might segest a 360 verses a PS3 is that for one, he sees them sell, not you. So he nows that sell=good. The other is 400<600. Which is why it's never good idea to try and convice people to spend a lot of money on something when you get jack out of it beyond fanboy glory. You could be the reason the man buys a product he doesn't like. So let him make his own choice.

The average consumer has no right to choose for themselves, no telling what would happen. I am at least half kidding there..... Anyways if ckmlb or I or anyone else feels that a PS3 is a superior choice over the 360, we have just as much right and probably a considerable more amount of knowledge about all three consoles than the average Gamestop employee. Also, who says all we get from stopping someone from getting a turd in white plastic box, is fanboy glory, it's called doing the right thing ;)
