Owlboy is on my top 3, fantastic game, but the combat system of Tokyo Mirage Sessions is groundbreaking. The story and style is not for everyone, very japanese and cheesy at times but I also found it to be really original and quite enjoyable for the most part, overall is a very refreshing take on the genre.
