Witness to a PS3 non-purchase

No. The funniest thing I heard was (@Wal-Mart):

Lady: What is a Wii?
Clerk: It is an Xbox your kids can play.

That perception is bad for both Nintendo and Microsoft, trying to drop the 'kiddie' image and trying to appeal to the 'casual', respectively.

I won't even list the stuff I have heard about the PS3 ("It's a BR player which doubles as a computer. Oh, and it can play games")
