One of the interesting things about Tillerson are his close ties to Putin: In 2013, Tillerson was awarded the Order of Friendship by Vladimir Putin Tillerson's lobbied in the past to drop sanctions against Russia. So I'm guessing this was the price for Russia supporting Trump, they get a pass on sanctions and will get to do as they please in Eastern Europe. Perhaps Trump will also gut NATO further as part of the deal. Oh and not surprisingly, Trump has named another Goldman Sachs big wig (this would be the 4th or 5th big position in his cabinet tied to Goldman Sachs). This time it's Gary Cohn, who's actually Goldman Sachs president and COO. Truly a cabinet full of billionaires. And just for lulz, Trump has appointed big oil lobbyist Scott Pruitt to run the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ... that's right an oil lobbyist in charge of protecting the environment.
