I don't know why more people didn't just pre-order it through Amazon if they were so interested in getting a copy. Granted, they stopped taking pre-orders about three weeks prior to launch and they haven't been taking orders since, but I was pleasantly surprised to see both packages I ordered delivered not two days after the debut.
Free shipping, no tax, delivered to your door? Who wouldn't?
I placed my order less than two months prior to release, so it's not as though you had to order months in advance to guarantee a copy on opening week.
