@bolded: As I said earlier in this thread, that is a big assumption to make when you don't know how much work it would have taken him to build up a Youtube channel, it's not just about what content he provides. If it's so easy according to you then you try and do it. So many people wanna try to say "Oh but anyone can record themselves screaming while playing video games" in regards to PewDiePie or any Youtuber that plays videogames or something along those lines but yet I don't see any of them trying it if it's apparently so easy. As I said earlier in this thread, he didn't just snap his fingers and automatically have 50 million subscribers, he had to work towards that for years with tons of videos. Even if you see it as "Well all he did was play videogames", that's still a lot of time and effort into making videos to grow his channel. Also i'm not generalizing anything, i'm saying that I think the attitude of saying "I hope he deletes his channel because I personally don't like it despite the fact that other people do" is not a good one to have. Sure, i'll agree it might sound like a bit of an overreaction in the way I wrote it but my point still stands there, but you're entitled to think whatever you want so honestly it's whatever, i'm not gonna try to tell you that you can't think a certain way because you're entitled to feel however you wanna feel, and that's fine. I just personally don't see that as a good type of attitude to have about something. Even if he does delete his channel I think he already said he was just planning on making a second one anyway. |
You've just focused on one part and ignored the rest. :/
"I hope he deletes his channel because I personally don't like it despite the fact that other people do"
I could give you plenty of examples where this position is more than justified. But I suppose one word is enough: Kimstar. Because someone has a big group of followers, doesn't make him a saint. Just saying.
"If it's so easy according to you then you try and do it."
Where do you want to go with that kind of logic?
"So many people wanna try to say "Oh but anyone can record themselves screaming while playing video games" in regards to PewDiePie or any Youtuber that plays videogames or something along those lines but yet I don't see any of them trying it if it's apparently so easy."
Look for let's play videos on youtube. And tell me how many did you find. I got 317.000.000.
Everyone wants a part of the cake. The worst part is, they feel entitled to do so. A lot of people who focused their career on youtube don't have a "real" job. The earn the livings by posting videos and getting ad revenue. There was a big outcry by these youtubers when they heard that companies decide where their ads are going to be played at. Meaning.. your videos are not ad worthy. That's some attitude you should be worrying about and not my statement.
Main Youtubers have the mentallity that, because I have posted my video on Youtube, Youtube earns me ma money! I don't like that and especially when they start crying for getting none. Because they never were justified in earning money. Those people are leeches.
