I pried myself away from TLG to try Star wars as well. It's very good, looks great. Yet as the other 2 it falls short of Elite Dangerous, which has the flight model perfected.
Compared to the others (played all 3 back to back)
SW Battlefront DLC: Best sound and laser effects, duh :) Cockpit looks awesome, lots of buttons to try out. However slowest turn rate and forward speed, and although the slight auto bank is nice, it completely lacks the ability to roll. Great space battle though (15 to 20 minute dlc)
COD Jackal assault: Best visuals, cleanest looking, decent boost speed. Only one where the enemies have the same slow turn rate. No auto bank feels weird, yet you can roll which makes it easier to follow targets that dip below you, and also easier to avoid collisions that way. Never push down, always roll + pull up is the golden rule in Elite Dangerous. Shortest demo (5 minutes)
Space Rift: Longest (actual game), most responsive flight model and fastest ship (after upgrading). Boring cockpit, basic visuals, but you can stop, reverse, pitch, yaw, roll. Enemies still zip around you with much faster turn rate and are limited to small groups. Least satisfying combat, yet nice story, exploration and mining make up for it. (2-3 hour episode 1)
All 3 pale in comparison to piloting an Asp Explorer or any fighter. I guess they want to keep the demos motion sick free and limit the movement of the ship, yet ED supports VR too for ages... It would be awesome if ED on ps4 gets psvr support.
