Havent decided whether I should go 4k or not. I'm focusing on getting 60+ FPS and focusing on getting a minimum of 1080p, so I might follow the same route.

Though I really dont have much of a budget as of now.

I'm not really familiar but you can play the games on a SSD/SSHD and then have the footage recorded to a HDD without any loss of performance right?

1440p is starting to look like the middle ground and sweet spot for me. It's not as expensive as 4k and it offers that bit better resolution than 1080p. I'm also aiming for that new CPU/GPU combo to go with the res upgrade in order to keep the 60fps as much as possible (though I won't be afraid to turn down some settings if the need arises).

Not entirely sure about that last part as I've never really done any gmaeplay recordings before. What I plan on doing in the future is to have another smaller build of a PC with an i7 to help with rendering and have that setup capture and render what comes from the main rig. For me this means I'm able to do what I want on the main rig without anyything being taken up, while also ahving the smaller build on the side to capture and then edit/upload at any time. That idea won't come into play until my ISP either improves the upload speed or I find another coutnry to move to and do LP's from there.
