About the bolded, care to provide proof to it? It was announced for the PS4, 3DS and NX at the very same time, even if it was at some point a console only game, it was always PS4/NX, then, unless you can prove otherwise.

You don't seem to be understanding the very post your quoting it's not about DQ it's about the decline of home consoles you seem only focused on DQXI while ignoring the overall context of the post, as for the bold part the developer had confirmed a year or so before the unveiling that DQXI was aimed to be a console game, people for months were saying the would never be a 3DS version as a result, how wrong they were.

DQXI was also annouced around the time NX was only being made aware to investors in the investors meeting (maybe even before that) so it's very unlikely DQXI was always going to be a NX game because it would have still only been a concept back then that no developer would have either known about or had any idea on the type of hardware.
