How can you not talk about the importance of the west for a franchise like Final Fantasy after a statement like that. Profitability is an underlined theme here.

If the Japanese market is to remain alive than gaming devices and their games need to sell well in Japan, western sales have nothing to do with that and he never mentioned profits.
