| Slimebeast said: I love V-sync. Tearing is even worse than lock-ups and playing at sub 15 FPS. I just can't stand tearing. From my experience console games are totally free from tearing. The devs seem to put a lot of effort to make sure the engine is optimized so that it doesn't occur. In PC-shooters I get it all the time, even on low settings. Thus I love V-sync. |
Have you played Gears of War or Bioshock on the XBox360? Bioshock on the XBox360 actually includes a v-sync option. It makes the game a little less smooth, but it also eliminates screen-tearing. It's disabled by default I believe. A lot of games have screen tearing. It's more noticeable in some than in others.
