And literally right below this part (maybe read the article? ) it says the NES versions of FF2/3 will get an official English translation for the first time, so there`s no reason that it would be Japan exclusive, assuming any of it`s even true of course...

 

Modern ports of FF4, FF5 and FF6 is FF43D, FF5 Mobile/PC and FF6 mobile/PC.

Modern ports of FF1, FF2 and FF3 are the PSP/iOS ports.

 

Yeah...."Official English Translation" for FF2 and FF3 NES....this more than likely means its unlikely of happening :p
